Primary prevention strategies - It involves the prevention of the development of disease in healthy individual.Examples - use of helmet during bike rides and seatbelt during car driving, adapting the healthy habits of exercising, no cigarette smoke and healthy food habit ,avoid using the hazardous chemicals or products.
Secondary prevention strategies - It involves the early detection of diseases and minimizing the condition.Examples- Regular medical checkups to detect the disease such as for cancer and heart diseases, use of low aspirin drugs for minimizing the condition of heart attacks or strokes,healthy diet and exercise for improving the medical condition.
Tertiary prevention strategies -It involves the improving the life condition after affected by disease through rehabiliation.Example- The rehabilitation programs which helps in recovering with heart strokes,cancer etc, connecting with the support group which helps in dealing the condition by sharing experiences and vocational rehabilitation programs which helps in providing jobs opportunities after recovering from disease.
