Answer: Public health is an important factor for the nation, as healthy people makes a good nation. hePublic health includes both physical and mental health. A healthy person is fit physically and mentally both. Public health prevention is an important factor because prevention refers to efforts to eliminate health or functional problems at their source by preventing their occurrence or to procedures (such as immunizations, improving nutritional status, and increasing physical fitness and emotional well-being) that reduce the incidence of disease .

The work of public health professionals is important because public health initiatives affect people every day in every part of the world. It addresses broad issues that can affect the health and well-being of individuals, families, communities, populations, and societies both now, and for generations to come.

Pain medication prescription prescribers must be educated on identification and treatment of pain, alternative modalities, substance abuse screening, and mental illness assessments and treatment for vulnerable populations. Opioid painkillers are only one group of prescription drugs that have the potential for misuse or abuse.

Policymakers and public health officials must also aim to reduce the demand for prescription drugs to prevent individuals from developing the disease of addiction. Primary drug abuse prevention efforts that aim to educate patients and their families form the foundation for reducing prescription drug demand. Although the goal is to completely prevent abuse of prescription drugs, treatment services must be available to those who have abused or are currently abusing these drugs.
