2) Describe the main contraindications of H1 an H2 receptor antagonists.
3) Describe the main therapeutic uses of H1 and H2 receptor antagonists.
Main adverse effects of H1receptor antagonists
Drowsiness, dizziness, tinnitus, blurred vision, euphoria, incoordination, anxiety, increased appetite leading to weight gain, insomnia, tremor, nausea and vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, dry mouth, and dry cough, stomach upset etc.
Main adverse effect s of H2 receptor antagonist

Pregnancy and childhood.
Contraindications of H2 receptor antagonist
No absolute contraindications.
Pregnancy and childhood.
Patient with swallowing difficulty, vomitus with blood, bloody or black stools.
Therapeutic uses of H1 receptor antagonist
It block the action of histamine at the H1 receptor, helping to releave allergic reactions.
Medical uses includes allergic rhinitis, congunctivitis, skin conditions, rhinorrhea, urticaria etc.
Therapeutic uses of H2 receptor antagonist
H2-receptor antagonists are used to treat duodenal ulcers .They are also used to treat gastric ulcers and for some conditions, such as Zollinger-Ellison disease, in which the stomach produces too much acid.
