5) Information overload happens when too much data or
information is fed into a system and it is unable to process the
information. The problems caused by information overload are:
- Information overload slows down the system into which excess
information is loaded. For example, if employees are given too much
information to process, their productivity gets hampered
- Information overload leads to confusion, stress, anxiety and
wrong decision making by the overloaded person
- There is loss of prioritisation when information overload
happens. Important tasks may be procrastinated and priority may be
given to secondary work
- Overloaded people may feel physical problems such as stomach
and chest pains, headaches, asthma etc
6) The creative process is the art of connecting and recognising
relationships between different ideas and concepts and reaching a
novel solution to a given problem. The creative process requires
problem solving skills that require critical and analytical
thinking process. People can think creatively by:
- Being creative and thinking about generating ideas regularly as
a practice
- Being disciplined, devoted to and inspired by hard work
- Asking the right questions about the hows and whys of daily
issues
- Forming group of like minded people and brainstorming on
matters of common interest
- Finding creative inspirations from people, places and
issues
