Differentiation and engagement strategies : Differentiation is a process of using a spectrum of strategies for providing instructions for skills and knowledge extension in a classroom. This is irrespective of the education and learning continuum, without discriminating between the disabled or gifted children.Teachers can differentiate on the basis of 4 components , which are, content, process, product and learning environment for effective reception of learning materials.Such as creating assignments, assigning group learning ,creating rubrics etc.
Engagement strategies : These are the strategies meant for effective engagement of learners in order to achieeve optimum learning outcome during teaching. The engagement strategies include using movement, Mind /thinking warm up exercises.
The data can be used from pre-assessments (an assessment done before any test/intervention to understand what does the participant already know or what are the areas of improvement) and formative assessments ( a regular set of intermittent assessments done during the learning process so that the teaching procedure can be altered as per the observation), for utilizing them in form of differentiated and engagement strategies. In other words, this is an ongoing process for observation, students's reception towards learning and teacher's modification of the learning sources.
