Describe relevant experiences informing your understanding of health. Examples could be personal, professional, community, and/or academic?

I have had the desire to study in the health field since I was in high school years. I have always been open to learning more about the healthcare field. To back this up I have volunteered in places that are related to heath like in clinics and helping people who are senoirs. From this experience I got to learn that there are alot of things that I don’t still know which I need to know more about in the healthcare field. I had a volunteer time in a clinic where I was observing a Hygienist cleaning patients, there I was learning from the hygienist. There were different kinds of patients coming from different places. I know the healthcare field is very broad and with that I have widened my knowledge.

As , Health professionals play a central and critical role in improving access and quality health care for the population. They provide essential services that promote health, prevent diseases and deliver health care services to individuals, families and communities based on the primary health care approach. Mechanisms for optimizing the strengths and skills of health professionals are essential to achieve the Millennium Development Goals.

Solving problems and making optimal decisions in healthcare is heavily dependent on access to knowledge. In today’s increasingly complex environment, it is rapidly becoming essential for healthcare organizations to effectively manage both internal knowledge and externally generated knowledge in order to provide the best possible healthcare, achieve operational excellence, and foster innovation. A well-organized and effective strategy for knowledge management in healthcare can help organizations achieve these goals.

Side by side, it is very important to keep reading various books by good authors, research papers, articles, case studies, study short courses and seminars and most importantly, find a good mentor, who can show you the path in a right way. A good mentor will always provide you with authentic knowledge and future perspectives.
