Expert Solution

1. Leadership and management are two sides of the same coin. Usually, when you consider leadership, it is the practice of leading people to attain a particular goal or motivate a group of people to provide the best results that they can. While management can be considered as an oversight to the tasks that are performed at the process level in any organization in order to achieve the goals and vision of that organization.

2. Management focuses on the goals of the organization at large and long-term achievements while leadership focuses on the processes of the teams at the micro level and focuses on getting the best out of the teams while essentially, focusing on the short-term goals that a team needs to achieve in the light of the big picture of the goals of the organization. Therefore, leadership is necessary in this case.

3. The different leadership styles include:-

1. Autocratic:- leaders take their own decisions and do not factor in their own decisions and do not factor in the requirement or the input of the teams.

2. Democratic:- leaders allow the team's input to be heard and factor in that value to make necessary decisions.

3. Transformational:- this leadership style ensures that the teams grow with the experience that is given to them while they complete their goals.

4. Servant leadership:- these leadership styles make the use of power and influence to coerce the other workers to do the job according to the will of the leader.

5. Laissez-faire:- this leadership style allows the employees to work however they want and does not provide any restriction or intervention by the leaders.

4. Successful organizations and businesses usually follow the democratic, bureaucratic or transformational style of leadership. Each has its own sets of rewards and challenges and are employed in different cases.
