Research on job satisfaction indicates that job satisfaction may be linked to personality. In particular, job satisfaction may be related to positive or negative affect.   

Those high in negative affect tend to be suspicious, distrustful, and negative. Those high in positive affect tend to have a more trusting and more positive approach to life.

Discuss examples from your own experiences of situations where people were satisfied or dissatisfied at work. What do you think contributed to levels of satisfaction or dissatisfaction? Was the situation more important or were the characteristics of the employees more important in determining level of satisfaction?

Job satisfaction means employe feel contentment and satisfied about their work . They things they are adding value in their life . Job satisfaction strongly related with person performance . If person highly motivated , enthusiastic towards his work , then definitely his performance become remarkable and excellent .some person comes teaching proffesion by their choice where someone enter into it by chance . So those people who actually love to teach students , he becomes more satisfied and contentment with their work which reflects in their performance . They are more comfortable , calm and acept any challenges to make it better of their performance . Similarly those people who are taking teaching is more stressful job and does not want to teach but comes in proffesion Because they didn't have any options in their life . Their performance is not so much effect full . Students doesn't enjoy his teaching. Rather take it as burden.  

There is lots of aspects that determined levels of satisfaction in job. For example , if emoloye enough capable , having good cognitive ability , emotionally well balanced and definitely genuine intention to contribute in organization then definitely he will have job satisfaction. Besides job security , oppertunity for continuous proffesional development , healthy Workiing environment etc key factor for job satisfaction .

Characteristics of employee more important in job satisfaction . If emoloye have growth mindset , high level of asoiration , intrinsic motivation , become more persistent and consistency for job , always focus for enhancing emerging skill , good emotional stablity , adaptability , having enough skill to perform job , etc helps to employee for job satisfaction . A person with his utmost devotion and strong will power can also changes his job satisfaction level with positive attitude .
