1. Infection of a host other than the normal host species - ACCIDENTAL HOST
2. A host harbouring a parasite without exhibiting clinical signs- CARRIER
3. Two different organisms in which one partner is benefited and the other is neither benefited nor injured- COMMENSALISM

7. A free-living potentially parasitic organism (two words)- FACULTATIVE PARASITE
8. The animal in which a parasite passes its larval stage (two words)- INTERMEDIATE HOST
9. A parasite that cannot live apart from its host (two words)- OBLIGATORY PARASITE

Chapter 1 - Introduction - page 2
11. Harbours a parasite from which a human may become infected (two words)- RESERVOIR HOST
12. Two different species exhibiting metabolic dependence by their relationship- SYMBIOSIS
13. Carries a parasite from one location to another to infect a new host (two words)- TRANSPORT HOST
14. Any arthropods that transport a pathogenic microorganism from an infected to a non-infected host- VECTORS
15. A parasitic disease that has accidentally- ZOONOSIS
ACCIDENTAL HOST:
Accidental host is one that accidentally harbors an parassitic organism that is not usually parasitic in the particular organism.
CARRIER:
Carrier, is a person or organism infected with an infectious disease causing agent, but doesnt displays any signs or symptoms. The unaffected carriers can transmit the disease to others or develop symptoms in later stages. Asymptomatic carriers play a critical role in the transmission of disease from one person to another.
COMMENSALISM:
Commensalism is a biological interaction between two species in which members of one species gain benefits while the other species neither benefited nor harmed. It is a one-sided symbiotic relationship between the organisms.
PARASITEMIA:
Parasitemia is the presence of parasites in the blood. It is used as a measure the parasitic load in the organism and also an indication of active parasitic infection.
