Our work and home lives have been turned upside-down by COVID -19, the bigest casualty is household income, with dwindling income we are at desperate situation, if things do not improve, very soon we will be looking at poverty, this situation is not only at our homes, our whole neighbourhood is suffering from this effect. Apart from monetary benfits, my biggest casuality is my grand parents health, with covid around we are not able to give them proper care, hospitals are so busy catering to covid-19, they seem to not caring for people the same way with regards non-covid disease, my grandfather being a kidney patient, he requires dialysis every week, which requires he goes to hospital every week, this is puting us on lot of deliemma, we are constantly worried wheather he will get infected by covid-19 during his hospital visits, apart from this my grandmother finds it very difficult to get proper care, as she is suffering from diabetese and arthritis, so the biggest casuality is the quality of older people,s life, which seems to affect them more as compared to younger generation who are able to cope much better, it is not only that they are affected by inadequate medical care, psychologicaly also they are impacted. Personally not going to college is a big dampner for me, though online education is fulfilling small part of it,The routine has gone haywire, the playtime is zero and there is no separation between home time and school time. I am not used to spending 24 hours at home without freinds and going out, it is definetly a crisis for me.
As business close to help prevent transmission of COVID-19 I feel job losses are one of the first human impacts of the virus;so if this continues for long i dont know wehat is in store for us, Not knowing how this pandemic will play out it is affecting our economy, physical and mental well-being, quality of life, I hope they find a vaccine for this fast.
