1. This is part of the heart that is under the simple squamous epithelium, fibroelastic connective tissue and some smooth muscles. This is where modified cardiac muscles are located.

  8. Arteriole - these blood vessels are the major determinants of blood vessel
  9. Arteriovenous anastomosis or vascular shunt
  10. Precapillary sphincter - this is a band of smooth muscle around the origin of the capillary. In the case of hypoxia and accumulation of waste mater, the sphincter open.
