Ans-1. Thyroid gland
Calcitonin is secreted by the parafollicular cells or C cells of the thyroid gland. It is the hypocalcemic hormone which decreases the plasma calcium level and regulates the calcium level by increasing its deposition on bones.
Ans-2. hypothalamus
The posterior pituitary stores two hormones which are secreted from hypothalamus and sent to the posterior pituitary. Oxytocin is released from the paraventricular nucleus in hypothalamus and ADH is released from the supraoptic nucleus of hypothalamus.
Ans-3. Kidney
The main target organ of anti diuretic hormone is the kidney , the tubular cells of kidney. It increases permeability of water allowing increased water absorption.
Ans-4. Epinephrine
Epinephrine or adrenaline is secreted from adrenal medulla of kidney. String emotions such as anger or fear causes it to be released which causes an increase in heart rate, blood pressure and breathing rate to compensate the body to the stress.
