identified three specific disorders: schizophrenia, depression, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. Explain one of these disorders. How are its symptoms viewed differently across cultures?
Schizophrenina, depression and attention-deficit/ hyperactivity disorder are caused due to the degradation and degeneration of the brain regions. It causes difficulty in concentrating towards objects and goals in life. It causes lack of interest and attention in studies due to the occurrence of attention deficit disorders when the stimulus and the impulse towards a particular object decreases in life due to the degeneration and degradation of the neurons. There are continuous performance tests initiated to test the impulse generation in the brain of the individual. The amplitude of wave generation in the brain decreases, there is latency of the auditory waves, and sensory gating waves P50 get generated in the disease schizophrenia. It is related to the nicotinic receptor agonists in the brain of the person with a decrease in the sensory gating stimulus in the brain. There are decreased responses to the stimulus in the brain of the person suffering from schizhophrenia which in turn leads to the attention deficit disorder. The deficiency of folate, zinc, magnesium and unsaturated fatty acids also increases the tendency of the generation of free radicals in the membrane and destruction of the neuronal cells in the brain. Statistically the rate of occurence of schizhophenia is 15.2 % per 100,000 individuals in the society as estimated by McGrath et al. The populations living in the urban areas are more prone to this disease rather than the population in the rural areas. The chances of the occurence of the disease increases due to the lack of the nutritional facilities and people living in low-socio-economic status. The infection caused by various viruses increases the chance of the occurence of the attention disorder and schizophrenia.
