Some of the most important goals of putting efforts in online marketing and advertising are:
•   To communicate the product idea to a mass audience.
•   Targeting of audience should be specific and the volume should be huge.
•   Another goal is to minimise the cost of overall advertising.
•   Lastly to ensure that sales goes up after the successful implementation of advertising campaign.
Firms achieve these goals by first putting their step in social media marketing and then using the Internet to float the idea to a large audience. This tactic is quite working because through social media marketing the firms can gauge the response and then they can scale things up by entering into internet marketing. I personally would definitely support and tailor these tactics as they have given some of the proven results and companies have gained a lot of revenue by investing so less.
