Expert Solution

Human Resource planning helps to identify the human resource needs for the firm based on which the resources are staffed. recruited, trained and deployed in their respective roles. It acts as a link between the strategic objectives of the business and the human resource management functions.

Below is the impact of human resources planning to business objectives -

Firms continuously strive to increase their revenues by expanding their operations to capture the demand in the market. This requires increase in the resources to be deployed for the business operations and projects. To keep up with the resource requirement for specific job roles in the projects, business managers request the human resource team to recruit and staff the skilled resources based on the requirements which are provided through job analysis and job descriptions. Human Resource planning considers the resource requirements based on skills, experience levels, educational qualifications etc. and undertakes the staffing process either through external recruitment or through internal staffing. This way the HR planning helps the firm in achieving the business objectives.
