A quality management system is a formal system documenting responsibilities, procedures, and processes that are required for the achievement of quality policies and objectives. The systems overlooks in coordination and directing the organization’s activities for meeting the customer and regulatory requirements and improving the efficiency and effectiveness on a continuous basis.
The first step in the QMS process includes an initial management planning stage, defineing the goals of the company along with the products and services that will be offered by the company. Then the system deals with all processes that are needed, from screatio to the sales of the product or service till the final delivery of the product or service to the consumer
The support processes are controlled as part of the QMS. This includes managing resources, procedures to control records and documents along with documents defining how the products or services that do not meet requirements are to be controlled.
Finally, certain processes are designed for monitoring the processes of the system and lead to improvement which are a part of the QMS. These processes include a means of applying preventive and corrective actions for problems, a method for auditing the system processes, and a way to review the system for ensuring requirements are met.

ISO 9000 is the most widely used quality management standard which contains guidelines that are intended to increase customer satisfaction and business efficiency. The major objective of the ISO 9000 is to provide a quality management system in an organization, reducing unnecessary costs, ensuring quality of processes and products and increasing productivity.
ISO 9000, allows an organization to identify the root cause of the problem, and therefore find a solution for the same. As per the standard by improving the efficiency, the profit can be properly maximized.
It also helps in creating a supply chain with integrity. All the company who are a participant in the developing, manufacturing, and marketing process of a product are aware that they are a part of an internationally known ana a reliable system.
Along with e buisnesses the customers also realizes the importance of quality. ISO 9000 makes the customer its focus as the consumer are the most important to a company.
