You must identify an organizational problem associated with organizational conflict/agreement. Be sure to explicitly state the problem. You may use one of the case studies, a current news story, or a problem at an organization you are familiar with.
The most common organizational problem associated with organizational conflict/agreement is the resource allocation. When two teams are working on a similar type of project, they will expect the same resources provided to them to complete the work. Under some circumstances, the management of the company will decide the provide a few extra resources to one of the teams working on the project. This will make the other team question the decision of the management to provide the extra resources leading to an organizational problem or conflict.
I have experienced this problem when I was working for the company Cognizant. Two teams were working on a product testing projects. The first team got 12 resources, 3 tools, and a timeline of 45 days. The second team got 14 resources, 3 tools, and a timeline of 50 days. This led to a conflict and the first team was not happy with the decision of the management for having a biased mindset. The organizational conflicts like these happen unintentionally and it also depends on a lot of factors related to the business. In this case, the client of the first project had a tight deadline and they wanted the project delivered on time. The client of the second project was flexible with the project delivery and was ready to spend more as well to make sure the quality of the product is good. So they provided a couple of extra resources and a few days of extension. The management had to consider these factors before the resource allocation but the teams will not understand the thought process behind the decision made. Finally, they had to explain this to both the teams and the projects were completed successfully on time.
