: List and discuss four factors that influence the delivery of an oral and slide presentation in a face-to-face organizational setting. What should a presenter do and not do to be successful.
The four factors that influence the delivery of an oral and slide presentation in a face to dace organization setting are as follows-
1) Firstly audience is the key factor that influences or affects the delivery of the presentation. The person who is giving presentation should be able to attract the attention of the audience because if the audience is not paying any attention then what the point in presenting in front of them. The person should tell a story to engage the audience and the story should be easy so that the audience can easily relate themselves to it.
2) Secondly the duration of the presentation. The presentation should not be too long or too short, it should be in between so that the audience gets the idea that what the person is trying to explain and it should be precise so that the audience does not lose interest.
3) Thirdly the opening and closing of the presentation. The opening of the presentation should be in an effective and energetic way so that it can bind the audience with the flow of presentation and as well as the closing should be precise so that the audience can know what is the conclusion of the presentation. The opening and closing of the presentation matter a lot as it decides the effectiveness of the complete presentation.
4) Lastly, the person who is giving the presentation should be dressed with neat and clean clothes. The appearance of the person influence the delivery of the presentation as if he/she is wearing dirty clothes then nobody will be interested in listening to him. So the personal appearance should be neat and clean so that audience can focus only on the person who is presenting the presentation.
The presenter should not do following things if he/she wants to be successful-
1) The presenter should never come late to the presentation hall or room.
2) he/she should not be dresses informally. Also, he/she should not use negative body language like staring at the floor, cross arms etc.
3) He/ she should silent or switch off the mobile phone while giving the presentation.
4) The presenter should not use the words repeatedly, words such as okay, like, you know etc.
5) he/she should not always stare at the screen and read. The presenter should be interacting with the audience, not with the screen.
The presenter should do following things to be successful-
1) The presenter should always come on time and well prepared.
2) The presenter should be dressed appropriately in formals.
3) He/she should always maintain eyes contact with the audience and should always smile.
4) The presenter should speak loudly and clearly so that audience can understand what he/she is trying to say.
5) The presenter should use positive body language like hand gestures, turn to audience etc. this will ensure that audience is connected to the presenter.
