The study of brain changes from adolescence to adulthood are based on longitudinal studies and comparative analysis of the same . The following changes have been reported in this developmental phase which impact individual behavior.

Adolescence : IN this age the brain is still developing . The development is alow among men as compared to women . The prefrontal cortex is not developed completely at this stage. Due to this ability to take rational decision and comprehend a wider phenomenon is not there. Decisions are taken on a hurried rushed basis and emotional rush is there in all decisions .

Adult : IN this stage matter in the brain is more and it is connected with the other part of the brain. Decision making is more rational and rush of emotions is settled . Chances of taking decision in incomplete scenario reduces as brain connection make one perceive a situation completely.
