A system can be considered as the combination of various sub systems or parts that are combined to accomplish a certain objective or tasks. Systems thinking can be defined as the process of monitoring the comprehensive system by analysing and appraising the different types of inputs which are to be processed or converted for the production of relevant outputs and at the same time ensuring the relevant feedback on each aspect and on the other subsystem.

Feedback can be said as the information that is returned to the original person so has transmitted the information ( input, conversion, and output). Feedback is quite important to change the conduct and behavior of the transmitter. With the help of feedback, it is possible to have the stability in the entire system.

Management information system (MIS) can be seen as a business activity such as HR and accounting that provides the different types of relevant information about the products and people, processes in the entire firm so that the effective decision making can be enabled. And the solution to the business problems can be obtained. In order to support the cross-functional operations of the organization, the system thinking is provided by the management information system. For instance, in order to fully the given order of a certain product, the MIS used in the marketing division will move the singe customer order in the different functional areas along with the sales, order fulfilment, billing, transportation and at last the customer service departed. Even though the different aspects of the sales are managed by the various departments, but with the help of MIS this entire process can be brought down to a single roof.

In the case of Facebook, the system thinking will enable that all the requirements of the users are addressed and any complaint, suggestion or views of the customer or users are taken into consideration to facilitate better service to the customers.
