It is evident that women form a major group in the field care facilities and nursing facilites as a woker. Women are often seen to get engaged more into household work and services related to household work and care rather than working in a corporate or in the field of mechanic or accounting. This division of type of work has emerged over the years and created a sense in the minda of many people that women are meant to do services related to care facilies more. Hence we find more women into it. A recent report by UN Women states that while 70% women make up the health sector worker, they hold just 25% of the senior roles in health institutions. Hence more women are engaged in care giving facilities like nursing. Thus this is the reason why women get low pay as compared to men. Women engaging in professions which are mere handling profession than intellectual professions thus the pay package varies highly. Moreover there lies other factors like descrimination and unjust attitude towards women.

So that women recieve equal pay. Women must be educated and given chance to get promoted in the field they choose. The impacts of domestic divison of labour can be identified as a limitation that it creates to profession that a women can go for. The limited choise thus doesnt allow them to earn equally unlike their counterparts. This division of work leads to opening up only unpaid or very low paid sector jobs for women. This segregation of work on the basis of gender brings more inequality in both cultural aspect and wage aspect. It is important that women hold high positions so as to reduce this gap of gender and bring more productivity to the economy. For such to happen, women empowerment is a must.
