The issue with Chipotle was that a number of people got sick after eating from Chipotle. The reason for this was that the food was left out at an unhealthy temperature leading to formation of bacteria on the food. This caused foodborne illness outbreak. Around about 700 people fell sick because of that outbreak. So people stopped going to Chipotle and eating there.

Strategies that Chipotle can use are:

• Improve the safety precautions to be maintained by the employees working there. Employees should be trained again properly on the wellness and hygiene of food.
• Managers should make sure everyday that the employees are working with those precautions. Also when the kitchen is to be closed at the end of the day, then also all precautions should be taken.
• Social media platforms can be used to gain the trust of the customers again.
• Promotions and new items should be introduced in the menu to attrat the customers again.
