There has been a discrimination for the minority community on the basis of languange and skin colour for a pretty long time. Although leaders of the ages hve tried to bring equality among the citizens, it has not acheived the full benefits. This inequality is reflected in the media also. As broad cast media is something that reaches the masses very quickly, showing equality in the races in the media can have a positive approach on the people. The main stereotypical myth the people carry in their head is the resistance to accept the culture of other people. Media is about art and art is something about sharing the creativity and not building boundries. While in the media more documentaries can be telecasted about the minorities and the immigrants. The change should happen with in the studio. Asian Americans should also be given equal job opportunities as the Americans as anchors or any other fields they are capable of handling. They may be immigrants but they now consider themselves at home. Their loyality may not be questioned. The audience slowly will become familiarised with the new faces and will start embracing the change. The life story of the successful Asian Americans can be telecasted which can be an inspiration to the younger generations. They may be given a chance to show case their cultural heritage, as media is about sharing the information. Knowing about the cultural diversity of the various nations will make the citizens broad minded and acceptable to changes. The stereotype mind set would slowly change when people are more liberal and educated.
