1. If people value privacy so much, why do you think they put so much personal information on their FaceBook pages and in their blogs?
2. You are sitting on a jury. A driver of a car has been charged with manslaughter for killing a pedestrian. The prosecution presents evidence collected from the automobile's "black box" that indicates the car was traveling at 45 miles per hour before the accident. The defense presents four eyewitnesses to the accident, all of who testify that the car could not have been going faster than 30 miles per hour. Are you are inclined to believe the eyewitnesses or the data collected from the "black box"? Explain your reasoning.
3. Why do employers monitor workers? Do you think they should be able to do so? why or why not? Have you ever been monitored at work?
1. In today's time being on social media is quite a fashion as its the new trend of actually knowing everything and still being the subtle human being in this world. People connect to their acquaintances, fans, followers or family and friends using social media which involves sharing information. Nowadays, it has become such a trend that even when a person buys chocolate from a nearby store he or she will likely to put in story on his or her account. Such things are often done for attention and its all the result of materialism The more you post the better you are in front of others and more followers you have depending upon the content you put.
2. As a practical person and also being the member of the jury, it has been witnessed and learned that one should always trust the evidence more than any other thing. Here, the eyewitness and the evidence of the 'black box' are equally likely to give some significant information about the case. But, since the evidence directly comes from the side of the prosecution and that too essentially from the automobile which was responsible for the accident, I think it is much stronger than the eyewitnesses.
3. Employers usually monitor their workers to assess their abilities and skills and whether they are actually putting their best efforts into the job, on the basis of which they decide whether the employee needs further training, a replacement or maybe transfer to another sector of the company. This is essential and equally important for a company's success which is in the hands of the workers to take it to the highest level with their skills and work.
