The anticodon sequence of the tRNA carrying lysine into the ribosome is 3’-UUC-5’. Write down the corresponding three nucleotide long DNA double strand. Include 5’ and 3’ end of each strand and indicate which of the two DNA strands is the template strand.
Answer-
According to the given question-
Here we have a tRNA carrying lysine amino acid having anticodon which are as 3' UUC 5' to the mRNA codon.
We know that translation is mRNA----> protein occur in cytosol.
mRNA contains codon which are arranged as triplet and code for a particular amino acid. tRNA after recognising mRNA codon carry particular amino acid to mRNA codon.
Here thr tRNA anticodon sequence is 3' UUC 5'
So mRNA codon for lysine amino acid will be 5' AAG 3'
Transcription is DNA---> mRNA with the help of RNA polymerase.
One strand of DNA which are arranged as 3' to 5' direction work as template and also called antisense strand.
So the DNA anti-sense strand from mRNA will be 3' TTC 5'
DNA are double helix and both strand are complementary to each other whih means that one strand is arranged as 3' to 5' Direction and other will be in 5' to 3' direction.
So other complimentary strand of DNA will be
5' AAG 3' which is also called sense strand.
So double helix will be as
5' AAG 3'
3' TTC5'
