PALLIATIVE CARE is an approach that helps in improving life of patients as well as their family members , who are facing problems associated with life threatening illness .

palliative care helps to prevent and relief from suffering through pain and other health problems whether it is psychological or spiritual or physical.

Palliative care is a curcial part of integrated , people centred  health services. At all levels of care .

Aim of palliative care :-

Relieve from suffering any kind of disease like vital organ disease or cancer , major organ failure, tuberculosis , end stage chronic illness etc.

Effect of palliative care :-

Worldwide approx 14.5 % people who need palliative care currently received it.

The quality of life of patients and their family who are facing problem associated with life threatening illness whether it is physically psychological or spiritually , are generally improving by palliative care.

Note :- The 2030 agenda slogan ' leave no one behind ' means the government wants to trying achieving maximum health by palliative care policies .

PRINCIPAL OF PALLIATIVE CARE :-

1.Affirms life and regards dying the patient as normal process.

2.provide relief from pain.

3.integrates the psychological and spiritual aspects of care.

4.niether hastened nor postponed the death.

5.Holistic care .

FINAL STAGE CARE / LIFE ENDING CARE :-

1.To decrease pain as much as possible.

2.Provide comfort patient.

3.To assist with mobility and safety

4. To allow meaningful interaction with family and peer groups.

5. Support family members to coordinate with patient.

6. Bereavement support

7. connectedness love nurturance.

8. Skilled care given by nurse observe swallowing reflux , respiratory problems, vital organ problems

9. Give emotional support as well as spiritually support.

10. Allow them to meet their family members children's

11. support thier family and loved ones.

12. Be polite respectful towards patient and family

13. Gave samptahy and love to thier children.

END OF LIFE NEEDS :- care of patient by emotionally physically spiritually psychologically that's all about end stage care of a patient.

Advise Note :- (At last stage patient loss thier apptite, loss of awareness But hearing touch remains and the last organ works is heart and lungs so as nurse we have to care them until a patient is confrim dead . ( prevention is better than cure)remember it for future and educate the person's who enter in this stage educate them about self care .)
