3HS is an integrated system that spans multiple levels of care across many states. System leadership is growing frustrated with seemingly contradictory feedback from the field. Some staff complain of having to use multiple systems that often do the same thing, while others express concerns that one hospital can see another hospital’s data. As input to the 3HS C-Suite, briefly describe the state of health interoperability, the different levels of interoperability (https://www.himss.org/library/interoperability-standards/what-is-interoperability), and ONC efforts (https://www.healthit.gov/topic/interoperability) to improve HIT interoperability.

INTEROPERABILITY: Interoperability is the ability for various healthcare information technology (HIT) to exchange, interpret data and reduce medical error rates, enhance patients experience and lower healthcare costs, among other benefits.

°DIFFERENT LEVEL OF INTEROPERABILITY: The state of health Interoperability has three levels of interoperability. Those are A.Foundation

B. Structural

And. C.Semantic Interoperability.

A. FOUNDATIONAL INTEROPERABILITY : It is the basic tier of Interoperability. It has ability of one IT system to send data to another IT system.data interpret doesn't need in this level. It able to acknowledge receipt of the data payload.

B.STRUCTUR INTEROPERABILITY: It is the intermediate level of Interoperability. In this level data movement from one system to another system is uniform and data is preserved and unaltered. In this level should be able to interpret information at the data field level.

This level used in case clinical or operational purpose.

C. SEMANTIC INTEROPERABILITY: IT is the highest level of Interoperability. This level has the ability to exchange and interpret information. - Information actively used and exchange. - In this level providers exchange patients summary information with other care givers to improve care quality, safety and efficiency.

2.ONC EFFORTS TO IMPROVE HIT INTEROPERABILITY-ONC ( The office of National Co Ordinator) for health information technology.

- ONC is the resources to entire health system to support the adoption of health information technology and promotion of nationwide health information exchange to improve health care.

* VISION OF ONC: To provide high quality care ,in lower cost. And increase healthy population and engaged people.

* ONC efforts focus on improving individuals ability to control their health information. So they can shop for and coordinate thus own care. - Patient can use MOBILE HEALTH APPs to manage their own information to improving their engagement and empowerment. - ONC improve HIT interoperability by assist in boosting patients satisfactions level. - APIs are key to giving patients secure and reliable access to their own health data. Interoperability is the ability to share information and services and it is easier for health care provider to provide high quality care and reduce chances of medical error by exchange patients data with others health care provider by using different levels of Interoperability .

ONC efforts to improve health care information technology Interoperability by adoption of data standard and choosing right health care information technology, using mobile health app's and boosting patients satisfactions level and engaged peoples.

The medical staff at 3HS is unionized across the system’s hospitals. Union leadership has confronted system executives about what they see as an intrusion into clinical practice, specifically the system’s focus on health information technology (HIT) and the triple aim (stating that the “triple aim” appears nothing more than a marketing ploy). Briefly describe the triple aim and how HIT can support it, offering an example for each component of the triple aim.
