Reduction of energy consumption is one thing that helps an individual to abide and contribute to global emissions and legislations that are trying for the betterment of the climate. as it reduces the resources used in the production of the energy and preserve valuable resources .

As a mayor or congressional representative i trust in transforming mindsets and bringing up behavioral changes in the citizens as nothing can work better than that. energy management can be done at different levels like monitoring the usage, controlling the usage, and conserving energy.

various steps i would like to implement in this process to reduce energy consumption are

1)metering of energy consumption and data collection of usage in a strict manner and bringing awareness on an individual basis about there consumption levels.

2)encouraging people with different opportunities to save energy and incentives to support the reduced consumption pattern.

3)tax can be levied on crossing certain consumption limit.

4) awareness can be created through campaigns lead by famous personalities and frequent advertises .

5)tracking the progress of reduction in energy consumption at individual level and finding the drawbacks and setting solutions to overcome the high consumption levels.

6) encouraging industries to bring energy friendly process and technologies.
7)creating a healthy competition between various communities to consume energy in a efficient manner.
