World Health Organization :-

The WHO is a specialized agency of the United Nations  headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, with six semi-autonomous regional offices and 150 field offices worldwide.responsible for international public health.The agency is aimed to "the attainment by all peoples of the highest possible level of health."

It as of now composed of representatives from all 194 member states, serves as the agency's supreme decision-making body.The current Director-General is Tedros Adhanom,

W.H.O Funding :-

Major Two sources are :-

A. Assessed contributions from Members States paying their own as a percentage of a country’s Gross Domestic Product (the percentage is agreed by the UN General Assembly). Member States approve them every two-years at the World Health Assembly. They cover less than 20% of the total budget.

B. voluntary contributions from Member States and other partners.largely from Member States as well as from other United Nations organizations, intergovernmental organizations, philanthropic foundations, the private sector, and other sources.

The WHO Foundation launched 27 May 2020 Having legally separate Existence from WHO acilitates contributions from the general public, individual major donors and corporate partners to WHO and trusted partners to deliver on high-impact programmes.

As of now U.S And U.K are the two biggest contributory to W.H.O

A Established in 1997 This is global leader in the struggle against illicit drugs and transnational organized crime, and the United Nations lead programme on terrorism Voluntary contributed from Member States, multilateral organizations, private sector and others .
