The actions which demonstrate genuineness are,

  • Maintaining a good IPR ( Interpersonal relationship ) with our clients.
  • Use of proper body language while talking.
  • Provide a therapeutic touch to the patients so that they feel we nurses are like their own relatives.
  • Use appropriate gestures while talking if needed.
  • Allow the patients to ask for clarifications if needed.
  • Tell them to restate what we have explaned to them.
  • Always have patience in listening to what your client have to say before communicating your own opinions.
  • Always have an approachable and flexible behaviour while talking.
  • Make sure that you communicate wisely so that they could understand what you say.
  • Have a pace during speaking about a thing which is difficult to understand.
  • If a client asked you to do something for them then do it at that time itself so that we may get cooperation from them for their care.
  • Always have a honest behaviour.
  • Have a lovable, loyal, caring personality.

Note : It is very a crucial step to demonstrate genuineness with our clients. If we are genuine in doing our activities then we will get good cooperation from our clients.
