- What do the most privileged members of society owe to the less privileged, if anything?
- What should society be willing to give up in terms of overall economic output in order to provide a more equitable distribution of wealth, if anything?
A society or an economy consists of two sections generally, the privileged and the less privileged. The privileged are the people who often have everything they needlike luxuriou houses cars television furniture etc whereas less privileged is the section where people really struggle to make ends meet. So it becomes an ethical responsibility of the much privileged section to help the less privileged in whatever way they can monetry or any services. The privileged should always consider donating in the case of abundance because that may come in constructive use for the less privileged. There are a lot of benefits where the privileged help the less privileged for the economy as a whole like education, reduction in the crime rates etc.
The more privileged of the society can help the less privileged in a lot of ways. They can also help the less privileged by giving up. One example of such a case could be giving up the government's initiatives that the government initiates to help the less privileged in a society. There are a lot of initiatives that the government takes for the less privileged that never reaches to the less privileged so if the privileged gives up their subscription on such initiatives because they can already afford it then it can help the less privileged a lot and a small initiative towards equalising of wealth distribution.
