There are few points to be considered while selecting or making playmaterials for children.

• safety-play materials should be safe,nontoxic,shatter proof and can be easily cleaned. make sure no parts lodges in child mouth and cause choking.
• appropriate to the growth and development of child.
  • it should improve gross and fine motor skills
  • improve communications and language
  • improve cognitive and visuo-spatial skills
