In the Healthcare system, the process of Healthcare and their improvement is emphasised. the elements of health care are,

  • Prevention
  • Detecting health problems.
  • Diagnosing diseases.
  • Treating diseases and providing for a good end of life

If we focus on complete health care system,It would be natural also to took upon the processes from citizen's point of view.From that perspective, the following 5 main process are identified.

1.Keeping identity(PREVENTION)

This includes the physical fitness,bed nets against malaria, a good diet, clear drinking water, and less use tobacco. It is the concept,is recieving special attention in the prevention of chronic diseases,and prevention of the emergence or development of risk factors.The main intervention is through individual and mass health education.

2.Detecting health problems

It is the actions taken  prior to the onset of diseases,which removes the possibility of disease.Individuals more actively engage in monitering their own health status.Daily measurement of hypertension,blood sugar,cancer screening tests like pap smear,are the example of this process.

early detection of problem otherwise called primary prevention, is a holistic approach.It relies on measures designed to promote health or protect against specific disease or agents and hazards in the environment.It utilize the knowledge of prepathogenisis phase of disease,embracing the agent host and environment

3. Diagnosing disease

This is the process of needed to trigger the next process of treatment.There are few thins less cost effective than the wrong diagnosis.The timeline diagnosis is critical for may disease treatment. Health care system provides knowledge and methodes for this process.

4.Treating diseases

curing and caring is at the core of most of today's discourse on quality improvement in health care.Through self management,the person can work as a stronger partner with the health care system to improve the process.

5.Providing for good end of life

An effective but endless treatment process is not always consistent with a good end of life. For many diseases aging is the root cause leading to the deterioration of all human systems. A holistic point of view,is required ,there for there is need for more physicians in the specialty of geriatric care.

When a disease process has advanced beyond his early stages,It is still possible to accomplish by a tertiary prevention.It signifies the intervention in the late pathogenesis stage. It is the all measures available to reduce impairment and disabilities, minimise the suffering caused by existing departures from good health and to promote the patients adjustment to immediate condition.

Individuals involved in health care process are,clerical workers,prehospital staff, physicians and nurses, nurse aids, administrative and billing, social services, physical therapist, mental health workers.and more.The more people added,and the more complex and convoluted the process become.
