How do diseases of the urinary system affect other body systems?
Damaged kidney or diseased urinary system affects various body systems in different ways.
CARDIOVASCULAR PROBLEMS
1. Uremia- high levels of urea in blood are toxic and can cause inflammation or pericardium.
2. buildup of fluids and salt in body causes hypertension and atherosclerosis, damaging the blood vessels.
SKIN PROBLEMS
1. Kidneys inability to balance calcium and phophorus levels causes parathyroid glands to release a hormone causing Calcium to be drawn from the bones to blood, resulting in itching on skin of the back,chest , head and limbs.
2. Intense itching leads to skin punturing which further leaves the patient more susceptible to different skin infections
DIGESTIVE SYSTEM PROBLEMS
1.high levels of urea results in gastrointestinal problmes , like poor apetite, gastrointestinal bleeding,diarrhea, vomiting ,peptic ulcers tec.
SKELETAL SYSTEM
1.the mineral imbalance causes the bones to become weak, thin and malformed as the parathyroid hormones draw calcium form bones to blood stream.
2.Renal diseases causes a condition called amyloidosis in which the proteins get deposited in joints and tendons resulting in pain, stiffness and fluid build up in them.
BLOOD STREAM
kidney diseases slow the production of erythropoetin hormones ressulting in anemia and iron deficiency.
IMMUNE SYSTEM
The diseases in rinary system results in build up of various types of toxins in blood streams which are harmful to other organs and inhibit the functioning of bone marrow of producinf cells.It also causes in sleep deprivation which results in dipression, exhaustion, headcahes and weight gains.
