Sexually transmitted diseases are caused by sexual contact, from mother to baby during birth by viruses, bacteria and fungi.

STD can affect a person with following diseases

  1. Hepatitis -B & C virus can lead to liver cirrhosis, liver failure and cancer.
  2. HIV can affect a person who is already affected by any STD progress to AIDS a immunodefiency disorder at last death.
  3. Chlamydia and gonnorhea can cause infertility and a serious condition called pelvic inflammatory disease in women which is very painful .
  4. Some STD can lead to risk of type 2 diabetes as an infection prevalence is increasing when level of blood sugar is high.
  5. Gonorrhea , Human papilloma virus lead to squamous genital cancers.
  6. Genital warts lead to stress, anxiety , self esteem issues and rarely cause recurrent respiratory papillomatosis, which occurs when HPV is passed from an infected mother to her baby through childbirth and also anal , penile, vaginal cancers.
  7. Untreated syphilis leads to meningitis, myocardial infarction, paralysis, dementia and stroke . And in it's last stage it causes lesions on nerves , bones, skin and blood vessels.
  8. Human papiloma virus is responsible for most of cervical cancer.
  9. Trichomoniasis causes prostate cancer.
