INTRO- Drugs are chemical substances,that can alter a person's mind as well as body. They include drugs prescribed by a medical practitioner, drugs taken illegaly and others which include alchohol, tobacco,etc..

Drug abuse is a term used to refer a kind of practice , where illegal, as well as drugs of normal prescription are taken in heavy doses more than recommended levels.

Behavioral addictions are basically a kind of stimulus related to a behaviour ,or an urge to do something repeatedly several times, even if its totally unnecessary.Examples include exercise addiction, gambling, sex..etc

here the person overstresses his/her mind and body to perform the act just for the sake of mental or pleasure, which indirectly puts the body on the path to a serious medical condition.

RISK FACTORS OF ALCOHOLISM, include

  • binge drinking,ie having more than 15 drinks per day
  • mental health issues such as depression,anxiety etc
  • impact if parents who are alcohol addicts.

RISK FACTORS OF LONG TERM EFFECTS OF CIGARETTE SMOKING,
