Role of Advanced nursing practitioners:-

APRNs provide and coordinate health care. They can provide both specialty care as well as general care.

-They can Take patient histories and do physical examinations.
-They can order for investigations and interpret the result
-They can decide on differential diagnoses
-They can plan for the management of patient
-They can evaluate response of patient care and make necessary changes in the treatment
-They can Counsel patient/family
-They can refer patient to advanced centers for advancwmed treatment
-They can participate in researches

They have right to take independent decisions. it make advanced practice nurses autonomous to an extent

clinical duties of Family Nurse practitioner:-

- Taking history from patient

-conduct physical examinations

-prescribe medications

-Keep records of patient

Non-clinical duties:-

-Patient education

- counselling of patient and family
