Primary role or duty of a nurse is to deliver efficient patient care to all individuals to attain maximum health

The other duties involves

1. Record medical history and symptoms: Nurse is easily available person to note patients symptoms and medical history.

2. Teamwork: A nurse will work as a team member with doctors and other healthcare professionals to plan and improve patient care.

3. Monitoring patient health status: A nurse will monitor patient health amd record vital signs

4. Administer medication: Nurse will administer medicine amd other treatments to the patient as prescribed

5. Operating medical equipment: Nurse is important person in operating medical equipments especially emergency equipment like crash cart,

6. Perform diagnostic test: Nurse wil perform various diagnostic test like blood tests ecg, and aslo she will assist doctors in various surgical procedures

7. Teaching: Nurse act as teacher too. She will educate the patient and family regarding illness, symptoms,coping mechanisms etc.

8. Leadership: Nurse will take initiativeness in various health related teaching programs

9. Communicator: Nurse is a communicating link between patient and doctors, she will communicate with other healthcare professionals regarding patient health status
