The case of the Cooper green hospital and the community care plan is a very engrossing case. It deals with the problems that the hospitals faced and the various measures that were undertaken for the management of the hospital efficiently.

At first the hospital faced increased cost pressures, staff ineffectiveness and the budget losses and overflow of patients.

I think the components of this system were under utilized because of the following problems that were not taken care of :

  • Decline of revenues.
  • No upgradation of the components.
  • Improper infrastructure to fulfilll the demands of patients.
  • The components were of poor quality and provided less quality medical services.
  • Ineffectiveness of the components lead to longer waiting time for the patients and caused dissatisfaction for them.

To increase the utilization of these services, we can follow the below strategies:

  • Define vision and goals clearly.
  • Dedication in work to provide satisfaction for the patients by providing highly educated health professionals.
  • Insurance plans can be provide free of charge.
  • Proper management attempts or steps to treat or provide medical treatments to the poor citizens.
  • Provide good quality of service with an affordable price and easily accessable medical care.
  • Train or educate the hospital staff to provide good quality of service.
