The fifth SDG is gender equality, give an example of the current state of gender equality, and then explain if gender equality needs to improve or should remain as is.
According to the question SDG stands for Sustainable Development Goals. Fifth SDG is all about empowering all women and girls and to eliminate all forms of violence that women and girls are facing these days like sexual harassment and exploitation. No state is free from this exploitation. According to my point of view gender quality needs to be improved as it is necessary to live a peaceful and healthy life. Women and girls should be provided equal access to education, work ,decision making etc. They should be treated equal to men. fifth SDG aims at economic growth also.
For example- In Delhi, women and girls are not safe at all. Each day there is a rape news on television. To eliminate these cases we need to change our thinking so that women and girls feel safe.
Targets of Fifth SDG are as follows-:
1.Remove all types of discrimination against women and girls.
2.Eliminate girl marriage before 18 and try to educate her as better you can.
3.They should be given equal rights in decision making as men gets.
4.They should take equal participation in developing new technology for empowerment of women.
So it should be improved as women and girls are also future of our country and should be given equal importance as men.
