My job of choice pediatric nurse

Pediatric nursing is the medical care of neonate and children upto adolescence, usually in an in-house patient hospital or day - clinic . Pediatric nurses provide health and medical care for children from birth through their late teens .These nurse provide expert care to the child while working with the family bto address their concerns ,fears and problems .

Parents often prefer to have their children treated by pediatric specialist, because children have special health care needs .Their bodies are growing and changing and they often react different to what injury ,illness and even common medications. In addition, children get scared and can't always clealy communicate ,what hurts . Pediatric nurses know how to interact with children and how to dispel their fears .And also know how to ask questions to children's about their health,so they can gather complete and accurate information to aid in daignosis and treatment . Pediatric nurses spend a significant amount of time for educating parents and other care givers about how to care for their children and protect children's health. Children's have chronic disease condition auch as paralysis or juvenile diabetes they design home care plans to help the families meet their child's special needs . Prevention and health education is a big part of pediatric nursing.

Pediatric nursing duties are similar to nursing duties in other departments , although there is typically more interaction with Patient family. Pediatric nurse work closely with physician who also specializes in pediatric or family medicine. pediatric nurse work in doctors office ,clinic , hospital,surgical center and other health care setting.
