Many people do not view their hearing impairment as a diability because deaf people are just as socially matured and well adjusted as the other people (without hearing impairment). Deaf people do'nt stunt in cognitive and social development in any way and they are well accepted in the community.
There are following ways to differentiate student with hearing impairment are as follows:
1. At first their health records and initial health assessment needs to be checked.
2. To recongnize the impaired student in the class, we would see if he or she is using sign language to communicate.
3. He or she may use lips reading to understand others.
4. By checking the part of cochlear implants under the hairs.
Technologies and staff member that we will use to teach to impaired student are as follows:
1, FM System: It is a personallistening tool used by the person has hearing impairment which used to have a microphone worn around the neck. this device receives the sound signal and transmit it to the brain which later transmitted to the auditory nerve as the response to the sound signal.
2. CART Reporters: They are used in the class which uses a stenographer's keyboard that types every thing said in the class.
3. Interpreters: These are the people who knows sign language who would interpret every sign by the impaired student.
0. they don't stunt in cognitive and social development. Most of them are comfortable with other people.
