Explain team leadership and its characteristics. Describe two challenges teams may face when leading an organization. Finally, explain whether team leadership is an effective approach. Justify your response. Please provide references
Leadership: the action of leading a group of people or an organization. A leader should have the capability to handle the team and get the work done by team members within the given period of time.
The characteristics of the team Leader:
Communication: A team leader should communicate clearly. Effective communication skills also allow team leaders to listen to the input of others
Organization: A leader should have good organizational skills, to roaster the duties shift wise.
Confidence: A confident leader is secure in the decisions he makes that affect his team
Fair: A fair leader ensures all employees receive the same treatment.
Delegation: Delegating certain tasks to trustworthy team members allows the leader to focus on improving workplace functions and production.
Facilitator: As a facilitator, team leaders help workers understand their goals. They also help organize an action plan to ensure team members meet their goals and objectives more efficiently.
Two that teams always face problems are: - 1. Lack of cooperation, 2. Ineffective leadership
Effective leadership would help in resolving all the challenges that arises in the organization. If the team has effective leader, he will organize the things in a proper way with the great critical thinking skills.
