The content of the training should include identifying PHI(protected health information),the minimum necessary rules,the rules about when and how PHI may be disclosed ,the importance of confidentiality,avoid snooping and the need to keep an accounting of disclosures.Patient rights and authorisation is an important topic for many employees at covered entities.

Hipaa training requires the both covered entities ,business associates ,coders,doctors ,nurses,subcontractors and majority of the staff should take training related to health information.The training should only be for few minutes dividing each department maximum of 20-40 min,it should go on for hours.For example coders should be given training in protection from malicious software,password management,login monitoring etc for their department.The most imporatnt things training should cover are:

• Contact the privacy or security officers with any questions or concerns.
• report any suspicious thing or any possible violation immediately
• troubleshoot things as early as possible
• finally the given training must be understood,the training must be remembered and the training must be followed.
