ONE PAGE LENGTH ESSAY ANSWER THESE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS
Much effort has been taken to describe the competing paradigms at work in American popular culture.Briefly, describe the traditional, Judeo Christian worldview, additionally, summarize the modern, Secular Humanist worldview. Which of these paradigms is closer to your own personal worldview? Elaborate on the way you see the world, and how your beliefs impact your political views.”
The issue of illegal immigration was discussed at length in class. In an essay, define the competing concepts of “nationalism” and “globalism.” Explain how proponents of each concept might feel about open borders and unlimited immigration. In its history, has the United States ever implemented “pauses” in immigration to allow for “assimilation” of large groups of new arrivals? Would that be appropriate today? Why or why not?
Traditional world-view: This view is based on the people following scriptures, religious leaders, doctrines and taking their words as truth which is often known as the 'religious faith'. This view focuses on the society rather than on the individual. This view considers nature as an important factor of survival and so propagates taking care of it. Values like honesty, decency, discipline, dedication are considered very important.
Judeo-Christian World-view: This view glorifies the power of freedom. Here, the notion of humanity is created in the image of God. This is propagated to eliminate rivalries between Jews, Christians as well as Islamic people all together. It is an indication of protection of human rights around times. This is not fundamentally a sociological term but it is to be understood as a political term.
Secular Humanist World-view: This view denies the existence of God due to insufficient evidence. Secular Humanists had their broad and strong influence in shaping arenas of culture, education, media, films, etc. They glorify the power of evolution biologically denying the possibility of miracles. But this view had been found like a threat to Christians as it propagated the separation of Church and State at some point of time. And due to the strong intentions of the Humanists, this view had been found in such a way that it could eliminate the ten commandments of the society and make it lazy by ignoring the poor to a greater extent.
I personally believe the combined views of Humanists and Traditionalists as good and strong intention are necessary for an individual in his own beliefs without blindly following someone else's opinions and also helping mankind is way of gratitude for our own survival. Taking care of nature which is a boon provided and prospering it will definitely pave way for good societal cause.
Nationalism: It's a feeling of his own nation to be superior regardless of the globe. Recently Mr. Trump said that he is a Nationalist for sure and he don't care about other nations in putting American first and making it a supreme power in the world. This feeing of Nationalism kept racist remarks on immigrant of Mexico and also called for bans on Muslims.
Globalism: It's a way in which foreign policies and economic policies should be designed in such a way internationally that one country cannot be separated from the other. In U.S General Assembly, Mr.Trump said directly that ''Americans reject Globalism''.
U.S once never opposed immigration but due to recent crisis of population and economic security, there are huge oppositions in promoting Globalism. So there are huge opposition in immigration of new arrivals.
