The European Social Charter is a Europe Treaty Council that is dedicated to advocating for all the fundamental economic and social rights as a European Convention on Human Rights counterpart, which refers to political and civil rights. The charter guarantees the day to day broad range of rights in housing, health, employment, social protection, welfare and education. The charter is implemented in all the nations that are part of the European Union. The EuropeanSocial Charter advocates for fair rights and non-discrimination of special groups in the society such as refugees, the elderly, children, migrants, and people with disability. It fights for this people so that they can be able to enjoy equal rights like all the other with no discrimination or hatred.
For any United States firms that have any dealings with the European Union, it is important to be fully aware of the EuropeanSocial Charter. The European Union is guided by the guiding rules that are established by the charter and all companies within the European Union must follow the rules to avoid other difficulties. The United States firm within this region heavily depends on the different resources from this region to ensure success. An example is the employees for their companies. When hiring, they must make sure they enforce the rules of the charter regarding work which include equal payment for equal work, labor rights, non-discrimination of the special groups in the society, parental leave and working hours.
