There are differences between on-line and "real-time"
interactions and relationships, which are as following:
- In "On-line" interactions and
relationships more of the inner self can be exposed than outerself.
Whereas, in "real-time" interactions, people tend to hide their
inner-self, they hide their inner feelings more, and expose their
outer feelings, as for example they may know the external
information and facts of the individuals but may not know the likes
and dislikes, attitudes, feelings etc.
- Sometimes "on-line" relationships
and interactions can be manipulated and deceived easily, as the
online interactions lack the real non-verbal cues as the
"real-time" interactions and relationships.
- The "on-line" interactions and
relationships may lack the breadth and depth of attachments as that
of "real-time" interactions and relationships, due to the virtual
nature of "on-line" and of face-to-face interactions.
