Heart disease is some times called Coronary heart disease. It is leading cause of death among adults.One of  the main cause is atherosclerosis.

Atherosclerosis means the build up of fats, cholesterol and other substances in and on the artery walls.  A build up of cholesterol plaque in the walls of arteries causing obstruction of blood flow. Plaques may rupture, causing acute occlusion of the artery by clot.

The main cause of artheosclerosis is high level of glucose, fat, and cholesterol in the blood. So high fat content food is more dangerous to heart and blood vessels (specially non -veg ) it contain high saturated fat and cholesterol.
