What Nutrients are most important for a growing child? Why? What did you eat growing up?

Is the food you buy from your local street vendor or restaurant 'safe?' What do you think? How about the food from your local grocery store or a big chain store? Is frozen food good for you? Packaged food? Fresh food? Tell me what you think and why.

When I am pregnant, i got the instructions from my gynaecologist to follow certain dietary habits and diets to be taken to have a healthy baby.

Enriched cereals and grain products which consists of folic acid is essential before and during pregnancy to have a healthy baby and to avoid neural tube defects. Pregnant women should consume non-fat dairy products everyday. Foods rich in fibre and low in calories, rich in vitamins and minerals should be taken to have a healthy baby.

Fruits and vegetables should be consumed more to have a healthier pregnancy. Uncooked and half cooked meats and animal products should be avoided. well cooked eggs are good and it helps in baby's brain development as it has choline.
