When I am pregnant, i got the instructions from my gynaecologist to follow certain dietary habits and diets to be taken to have a healthy baby.
Enriched cereals and grain products which consists of folic acid is essential before and during pregnancy to have a healthy baby and to avoid neural tube defects. Pregnant women should consume non-fat dairy products everyday. Foods rich in fibre and low in calories, rich in vitamins and minerals should be taken to have a healthy baby.
Fruits and vegetables should be consumed more to have a healthier pregnancy. Uncooked and half cooked meats and animal products should be avoided. well cooked eggs are good and it helps in baby's brain development as it has choline.
