Make an ethical argument either for or against the law or policy, if a pregnant woman required life support?
subject is nursing
# . Medical ethics is based on a set of values that professionals can refer in case of confusion or conflict . Ethics are the principles to differentiate between right or wrong .
I am standing for the law which deals with conditions where pregnant women require life support because its a law which deals with conditions where a pregnant women is in life threatening medical situations and makes decision on how to do the manage it without impact on the mother and fetus. Even if a woman is refusing for the treatment in such a condition and it may cause harm to the baby and herself ,then medical professionals can go ahead and do the interventions without patient consent because by law, physicians are neither compelled nor required to seek judiciary intervention requiring their pregnant patients to undergo treatment or change behavior for the best interest of the fetus and mother . There is also no legal penalty placed on physicians for their failure to seek a court order when a pregnant woman has knowingly exposed herself and fetus to a risk of harm.
So, I am in support with this law as it works so hard to save the life of the vulnerable group by putting their job in risk.
